Extending Opera is the working title of a research project carried out by Carl Unander-Scharin, hosted by the Royal Institute of Technology and The University College of Opera, Stockholm - during 2010-2015.
Maria Sanner performs "Lasciatemi Morire" by Claudio Monteverdi from 1608. She accompanies herself with the virtual viola da gamba, enabling her limbs to create the accompaniment.
